Gyro
Graham hadn’t dreamed of creating a ‘global player’ when he founded his first company called Dumbleton Design. He took a desk space in the Hat Factory in Hollen Street in Soho in 1987, at the tender age of twenty three, but by 1991 Dumbleton Design, via a spell as Creative Director of Graphic Impressions in Clerkenwell, had become Gyro. Gyro has fifteen offices worldwide, that deliver marketing solutions for companies such as; American Express, Sony and Virgin Atlantic.
Gyro started
out working on property brochures, from a bedroom and attic in Putney, South
London, before moving to the New Kings Road and then onto Chelsea Harbour. Early projects included the marketing of New York's World Trade Centre in the UK, France Germany and Japan. Other notable early projects include: The European launch of Adobe Acrobat, and brand guidelines for Apple dealers in the UK.

With an unbounded energy, the Gyro team grew quickly in the nineties, achieving Virgin Atlantic, Sunday Times FastTrack Top 100 status two years running. A major focus on direct mail in the technology sector saw Team Gyro open offices in New York, San Francisco, Miami, Geneva and Stockholm by the end of the decade. Graham retired from the business in 2004 to focus time on his growing family, having recently established a the family home in The Cotswolds, where he grew up.
